Overview

Solu:

The trekking starting from southern part and ending in northern of Khumbu valley or Everest Region.Solu means southern part andKhumbu means north part of Khumbu valley so Khumbu Valley is combination of two parts “ Solu + Khumbu” .

Southern part is very less touristic area now but very nice landscape and famous agricultural productive land for all Khumburegion. Before Luklaairport build all trekkers began their trekking start and from Jiri and Phaplu to Everest region.

We have pass through very interesting multi-cultural village and diversities of flora and fauna so will get a chance all complimentary trip.

After Juving we have staring to walk very classical trail access to Khumbu valley called Jiri to Everest trekking trail.

The Jiri to Everest base camp trek follows; the traditional route taken by the early Everest expeditions and still serves as the main artery to the road less Everest region, known as the home of the Sherpas, SoluKhumbu. Mt. Everest, Sagarmatha or Chomolungma is unquestionably the tallest peak in the world - a legendary pride of the Nepalese people. It is not only the prominent peak among thousands of other mountain peaks but also a most enthralling mountain for both climbing expeditions and trekkers.

Our trek passing through different ethnic group like Sherpa, Rai, Magaretc the villages we share many of their hearths and enjoy their generous hospitality. An inestimable number of tourists in Nepal prove the extent of the popularity of this region. The final stretch of this trek is quite arduous but the challenges are softened by traditional delicate tea houses, small settlements of hardy mountain people and monasteries with the back drop of the towering Himalayas, to make it one of the most delightful walks in Nepal.

Rapcha

Rapcha is situated in south part of Solukhumbu( Everest region) withinBasa Village Community in Sagarmatha Zone in Nepal. Rapcha is very beautiful village on the lap of Mt. Everest but still unknown due to south part of Khumbu is still not reach the best information to tourist. There is really interesting diversities of agricultural phenomena further more interesting that diversities of ethnic people who are call KiratKhalingRai and Mager people as well Brahmin cultural things are one of the best for tourist in Nepal.

Kirat KhalingRai is one of the ethnic groups in Nepal their main originalbirth place and habitation within Solukhumbu and the Rapcha is main place from the beginning of history. KiratKhalingpeople living throughout the world however if their main cultural place remaining up to now Rapcha. They are still not in the any post of government and power so they are marginalized indigenous people so their life is still traditional way. They are religiously point of view “Animism” so they believe upon the natural God like water god, Sun God, Moon God, and their ancestors.

Khumbu:

Listed UNESCO Natural world heritage sites, Home of Sherpa Peoples and Stunning Mountain Views, the Khumbu "Sagarmatha" region boasts some of the most extraordinary high mountain scenery on earth!

In Generally the trekking start from Lukla ,After flying in to Lukla, however some trekkers start from Phaplu due to some different interesting landscape , people, cultural phenomena and mountains really interesting in southern part and more idealize and smartness for altitude sickness avoid who start the trekking from Phaplu, the exciting trekking to Everest Khumbu valley takes us via the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar to the Gokyo Valley. Here, we ascend Gokyo lake and GokyoRi(5360m)mtr which is one of the finest vantage points for Mount Everest (8848m.).

Gokyo Valley Trekking

Trekking around Gokyo Valley is considered a traditional trek that offers magnificent views of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier- the largest in the Nepal Himalayas. The image of this region is associated with the soaring views of the most popular mountains in Nepal, at an altitude of 8000m such as Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse and Makalu and other some above six to seven thousand mountains which are clearly visible from GokyoRi above Gokyo Lake. It was listed in the UNSCO world Heritage Monument List in 1979.

Fly to Phaplu(2470m)around 30 minutes with really nice fly on the Himalayan sky, mountain flight is quite small only 14-17 passengers each time can fly and early morning we can walk to Rapcha ,either let flight we spend over night in Phaplu and visit to Sallery bazar as well and overnight in Phaplu and early morning start our trip to Rapcha. Well , another option for transportation to Phaplu via Jeep . it takes around 8 to 10 hrs by local jeep with cheap price and good landmark scenery view like flora and fauna. Overnight at Hotel and in Phaplu visit to Sallery and Phaplu with interesting.

After breakfast, we start our trip to Rapcha, from phaplu via Ratnangi Danda outstanding appearing Mt. Everest( 8848m), Thamerku(6608m), Kusumkangaru(6369m), Tabuche Peak(6368m), Mera peak(6468m), Naulek peak(6167m), Numbur , Dudhakund mountains fantastic landscape toward the north valley of Solukhumbu Valley. We walk through the pine dense forest with multi coro Rhododendrons blooming in the spring and meadow as well so feels like jungle safari too. The way is in the beginning quite up down and eventually long descent to Rapcha. Sleep at tent / Home stay.

Rapcha is quite big Kirant Kaling Rai village and also some Mager people who they are also one of the ethnic group, they have their own cultural status, history and they are following still their traditional way of life and co-operation with for their social work and ritual activities too.And also some more another Untouchable cast the name “ Kami” and “Damai” they are following Hinduism way of Religion life. Since from few last year, the people of the Rapcha involving some uplift social life , development of basic thing such as child development education, adult education, electricity power, Reforestation, organic agriculture train, Public awareness for betterment of social life and trying to do establishing healthcare etc The literacy rate is very low yet due to poverty and facilities of basic necessities now and another further issue is in the family mostly parents are never visit to any educational institute to get formal education, very rarely young people struggling for graduation from formal educational institution.

We leave Rapcha after breakfast and gently descend for 2 hrs through end of the Rapcha village and scrub forest to the Dudh (milk) Kosi (river) - a raging river that flows from the highest allpeaks in Khumbu Valley. We cross along the steel suspension bridge above the DudhKosi at 1450m and climb gently steepout of the river valley through fields of barley, wheat and corn to the sprawling Rai village of Jubling (1630m). In Juving we can meet the traditional trekking trail from jiri to Everest Base camp or Khumbu Valley so more trakersmmet on the way and since last 5 years a lot of Muel passing on the way from Phaplu to Namche using local transportation now so it makes quite difficult sometime to keep site them , please beware during the passing times. The trail climbs to a ridge and we can see KhariKhola and Khumbila (5761m) peaks at the northern end of DudhKosi valley. We descend for a while to the sandy trail and a long walk takes us to KhariKhola village, a mixed culture of Sherpa, Rai and Magar communities.

After breakfast around 7:00am we have to start our trekking, after 30m we cross the Kharikhola via suspension bridge and start deadly ascent and quite hot in the morning so better leave quite early would be better avoiding hot. After Bubshadanda less hot with Gently climbing through the forest, we can see the very steep DudhKosi canyon and savor stunning views of Khumbila and Cho Oyu (8153m) peaks from the Thamdanda. And from here more easier means less steep passing via bamboo forest eventually we traverse through cross a stream on a wooden bridge where reach to Puian village.

Puya is long Sherpa and Magarvillagevillage after 1hrs again climb a bit to Pakhepanidanda from here appearing very nice mountain view like Khumbuyula, Karelung, Khusumkangaru, Tabuche, Gayungkhangetc and landscap towards khumbu valley, Lukla airport looks very close and really imaging airplane landing on the airport in front of the white mountain as well and dhudhakosi valley southern part also. From here deeply descent to Surke village then climb from Surkhe we come across a junction to a stone stair case which leads off to the right towards Lukla. We follow the Khumbu trail, cross a bridge and climb our way to Mushe, a small settlement and the larger village of ChauriKhadka. The broad and well-marked trail meanders around fields of potatoes and buckwheat and passes through villages. As we pass rows of tree dahlia to make our way through the village of Chhoplung. We pass small groups of donkeys and dzopko (a yak-cow crossbreed) carrying trading goods and trek-gear along the trail. Soon we cross and re-cross the thundering glacial river walking through pine forest and cleared areas reveal terraced fields and a variety of crops. Spectacular mountain peaks unfold above us and seem to hover above the tree-line as they rise above the deep river valley. We cross the KusumKhola, a tributary stream to the DudhKosi, and the peak of KusumKangru (6369m) can be seen to the East, at the head of the valley. Further along the trail, across the valley to the North-West, Nupla (5885 m) and Kongd. We will see Mani walls on the way. These stone structures are a compilation of many stone tablets, each with the inscription "Om Mani Padme Hum" which translates to "Hail to the jewel in the lotus", and is mantra (chant) venerated by Buddhists and Brahmans alike. Buddhists will walk to the left of these Mani Walls and chortens, but you may notice that people of the lowlands who have no knowledge of Buddhism do not follow this practice.

From today more crowd along the way and at hotel due to same way from Chhoplung to Namche so people going up and coming down as well yak , miuel , mostly take care passing the suspension bridge and sometime traffic along the way .we pass through the gates of Sagarmatha National Park. The establishment of this national park is a significant attempt to stem the use of fire-wood in the area and the few local people who have a permit to cut wood must gain approval from the authorities on the basis of it being primarily for their personal use. We follow the river course to the confluence of the DudhKosi and the BhoteKosi, and cross a spectacular high bridge before commencing our ascent to the village of Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa "capital" of Nepal. It is a tough climb as the trail passes through forest of pine to a vantage point that provides our view of Mt Everest. The trail continues to climb and meander to Namche, and the sight of this prosperous village spread within a horse-shoe shaped valley opposite the beautiful peak of KongdeRi is worth every step. After lunch you may wish to pursue the Sherpa shops . Sagarmatha National Park Headquarters offers a very interesting display of photographs, memorabilia and information on the park, and the hill above is a wonderful vantage point for the spectacular view up the ImjaKhola Valley towards Everest. The change from the narrow lowland valleys to the broad glacial ones is immediately obvious. The steep-sided glacial valley before us gradually winds towards the base of Everest, broken only by the moraines left by retreating glaciers. Its more gradual rate of climb is a blessing for those trekking higher. Towering to over 4000 meters above the valley floor, spectacular peaks seem to engulf us. Around us are Taweche (6542 m),Thamserku (6808 m), Kantega (6685 m), AmaDablam (6856 m), Nuptse (7896 m) and Lhotse (8511 m). The greatest of all, Mt Everest (8848m), rises at the head of the valley. Those who wish to take the optional tour to the Everest View Hotel where spectacular views of Everest and AmaDablam.

cclimatization day, day hike to Shyangboche (3,833m) - (B/L/D): It’s important to spend an extra night at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization purposes before venturing higher. There is plenty to do around the valley’s central trading hub. We will do a short day hike up to the Everest View Hotel in Shyangboche for stunning views of AmaDablam and Mount Everest. Another alternative hiking trail possible half way to Thame , Its very nice valley toward the Tibet still Tibetan people using to Namala pass and Rowaling valley trekking and another very famous Renjo pass (5365m) to Gokyo, .. If you feel good we can go to Khumjung Sherpa village , its biggest and the beautiful Sherpa village in the Khumbu valley, I want show its best Sherpa cultural phenomena.
