Overview

Pokhalde Peak is simple and easy trekking peak for climbing which elevates to the North of the Kongma La above the Khumbu glacier, opposite of Lobuche with relatively low altitude.  This peak offers interesting and adventurous trekking experiences to the climbers. From the summit of the peak, one can outlook the panoramic views of mountains which definitely gives a unique experience. The peak is approachable via two routes: Bibre / Chhukung and Dughla. The routes have several modes to move toward this peak. In Dughla route, there are several ways like North Ridge, North East Face, North West Face, North West Face and South Face. For Bibre route, trails follows Everest trekking trail upto Tsuro Og and Yarsa trek.
First ascended in 1953, Pokalde Ascent fulfills your amateur mountaineering desires, taking you above the normal experience of mountain treks and below the technically equipped, skill-and-effort demanding climbing expeditions. The high camp for the peak is established at the valley below the Kongma La Pass (5,535m), which has a turquoise glacial lake in the middle. For the final ascent, you can reach the pass and follow the ridge (the route of the first ascent). Amazing View such as Mt. Makalau, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumo Ri, Ama Dablam and so on.
